About Me

What can I say? When it comes to writing about other people/places/things, I could write for days. When I am supposed to write a little about myself, I draw a blank. I guess I'll start with the basics.

I live in Portland, OR and I love this city! We moved out to the Pacific Northwest for college, and we just couldn't leave. Portland in particular is probably the best city I have ever been. Where else can you hit up a brew fest downtown and then drive 30 minutes to hike in some of the most beautiful country you have ever seen? Nowhere I tell you! This city is so full of life and I love experiencing everything that it can offer.

I have the best family. My husband I were high school sweethearts, we came out here for college and decided to set up camp in the SW part of the city (Did I mention we love Portland?). From time to time I take a step back and can't believe I got so lucky. I mean just look at that handsome face! ...and he makes me laugh every day to boot. You can't ask for more than that.

Living in the real world. It's a little tougher than I had initially thought. When I was in school I couldn't wait to get out, get a job, and be responsible for only myself. ....bahaha! Sweet little naive Courtney. I'm sure my parents were rolling around laughing on the floor as I told them about my big plans for taking on the world. No one told me it would stop being easy after school. Is this what they mean by the "real world"? After four years of working a corporate job (of sorts), I want out! I'm going back to my roots as an artist and starting my own photography company, Courtney Z Photography. With my new found enthusiasm and energy, I am yet again ready to take on the world, so looks out "real world", you are going down!

I wouldn't have it any other way. Through all the ups and downs of this crazy roller coaster they call life, I really do have it pretty good. I have the best partner to be by my side as we weave through this tangled web. I have amazing friends, the funniest, sweetest sister anyone has ever met, and passion for days on end. Life is good!
